Three Cups of Tea

  I finished  reading a book, Three Cups of  Tea. I think he is a great person at first. He found a village when he got lost. He thought that he try to make a school in the village. It is difficult to make it. He achieved it! I was so surprised. But...When I searched for him in internet, I disappointed. I could find many lies in the book. It's real that he made some schools. It's okay, but I couldn't understand why he lied. If he didn't lie anything, he would become just a nice person. Anyway, this book was interesting for me. I want to read the book in Japanese. I'll try to do it !!!

New Year in Japan

  My favorite holiday is New Year. It's a wonderful day because we can eat a lot of food in the day. Almost all Japanese family prepare tiered boxes filled with special food for the New Year. This is called "Osechi". We use special chopsticks to eat Osechi. The each food in the Osechi has a special meaning. The meaning is mainly to  wish for the health of people. In addition, people send each other New Year's cards called "nengajyo". This is usually designed with this year animal of the 12 animals in Chinese zodiac. We will send a lot of nengajyo to friends. It's better to post nengajyo by December 25th so that they can be delivered on January 1st. A lot of nengajyo make us happy.

marriage tradition in Japan

  In Japan, "shinzenshiki"(神前式) is the most famous marriage tradition style. It is held at a shrine, "jinjya"(神社). A bride will wear  a white wedding kimono, shiromuku(白無垢), and elegant hairstyle, which will be covered with the bride's hood. The groom will wear a hoary and hakama(羽織袴), a Japanese style kimono for men. It's common that only family members and close relatives of couples attend "shinzenshiki". After the wedding ceremonies, reception parties called kekkon hiroen(結婚披露宴) are held. Generally speaking, relatives, friends, co-workers, and neighbors are invited to the wedding receptions. People usually dress formally. Female guests wear dresses, suits, or kimono. Male guests often wear black formal suits. Wedding souvenirs are called hikidemono(引き出物). They are often towels, sweets, white tableware, and so on. If you will attend a Japanese wedding reception, you must not forget to bring cash for a gift!!

Opinion

  I'd like to recommend a movie to you. It's "Back to the Future". The movie is one of the most my favorite movie. I've heard the name for a long time, but I didn't have any chance which I watch the movie. I watched all series in this year because my father borrowed these movies at a rental shop. All series are connecting. It made me more exciting. Even thought these movies are old, they attracted everyone even now. The movies make you enjoy absolutely. You can try watching the movies!!

Travel to Osaka

  I'm from Osaka in Japan. There are many interesting places in Osaka. I'd like to talk about  theUSJ, Universal Studio Japan. There is a famous theme park. You can ride many exciting attractions and watch some fantastic show!!! Almost students who live in Osaka have one year passport; it allow you to go there anytime for a year. They often wear some costumes with friends when they go there. I've worn them: halloween costume, school uniform, school gym suit, football uniform and so on. They were very fun!! If you go the USJ, you should try some costumes. Maybe now, there are many people who wear minion costumes in the USJ. Their costumes might be more enjoying for you! There are a lot of other good place in Osaka. Food of Osaka are also nice, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki, Butaman(steamed bun with minced pork filling) of the Horai and so on. If you go there, you can contact me. I can recommend many shop or places to you. Please come to Osaka!!!

Language

  Besides English, another language I'd like to lean is "Korean." My university in Japan, we have to take other country language class in addition to English.  I took Korean classes. I'm learning Korean language in Japan now. I'd like to explain why I chose Korean. I like Korea very much, so I have watched over twelve Korean dramas. I always think Korean pronunciation is so cute. I want to understand Korean dramas without subtitles. Japanese can learn Korean easier than English because their grammar are very similar. Hangul is little. We will be able to read Hangul soon. Actually, I can read it, but I can't understand many Korean language. I wanted to learn that more. By doing that, I will be able to understand many Korean words better than now. If I go to Korea, it will be very useful for me. I'm happy because I have many chances now. I'd like to talk with my Korean friends. Father more, I want to know the other languages which I don't know more. I'm enjoying to learn foreign languages, English, Korean and so on.

if I win $10 million in the lottery...

 If I win $10 million in the lottery, I wanted to repay my scholarship at first. Then, I will be free! Next, I want to travel around the world. I like visiting many places with my friends.  I have visited many places in Japan before now, so I want to go many places of the world. I don't know other countries culture very much. I think there are many interesting culture in around the world because I feel interesting culture in Canada now. Knowing new things are very exiting. Also I wanted to eat local foods of the world there. I like eating very much. I'm enjoying Canadian foods now. They are very tasty. I want to know other countries foods too, but I will think that Japanese food is the best. haha.. I have many dream when I image if I win $10 million in the lottery. It's exiting. My dream will be able to come true if I work very hard in the future. It depends on me.
